WISDOM FOR THE WEEK:
We have been appalled at the barrage of pornography
that has been thrust upon the American public the last
few weeks. There are thousands of innocent people,
even women and children, who are seeing and hearing
pornographic things that they would have never been
exposed to any other way in all their life time. It does
not make it a bird of a different color of feathers
just because it is news or because it is about the President
of the United States. Pornography is pornography. It
corrupts all that it touches. We ask you as friends to be
careful in what you watch and listen to concerning this matter.
We ask you as a responsible member of your family to
do all in your power to shield yourself and other family
members from hearing and seeing any more of it. Reject
it as you would any foul romantic novel or X rated movie
or it will soil your mind as surely as the sun will come up
tomorrow. May we as citizens of the United States have
the power to "ABHOR THE VERY THOUGHT OF
EVIL" and not be entertained by it.

MoNdAy FuNnIeS:
The other day I over heard a man telling of an experience
he had with the phone company. It is a true story. He made
a call from a pay phone and the phone did not work but it kept his
35 cents. So he called the operator which is a free call and told
her about it. She said she could not refund his 35 cents unless
he wrote a letter to the phone company and told them the
address of the pay phone and the phone number. He insisted
that it would be foolish to put a 32 cent stamp on a letter to
request a 35 cent refund written on a check that would cost the
phone company several dollars to write. She agreed and
asked him if he had tried pressing the coin return button. He
said no and tried it. When he did money started pouring into the
coin return. Apparently several other people had tried the phone
and lost their money too but none had tried the coin return
button. When the operator heard the clanking of all the money
she asked what was happening. He told her that the phone had
just given him $3.15 back in change. She asked him to please
mail the money to the phone company. He said OK but first
you have to write me a letter and request it.
